I believe in magic, in purpose, in divine will, and in individual will in directing our energies. I do not believe that the script is written for us, especially from the currently popular ‘new age’ vision–that by repeating a mantra or doing image-meditation will briing you everything you desire–without the work required, the connections needed, or the right-thinking to recognize the answer when it arrives.
The 150 young women who long to be the Sweet Potato Queen, when each year there is only one, cannot all achieve their goal in the same year. No matter how pure their intention, how beautiful their dreamboard, or how diligently they thought positive thoughts, used the right toothpaste, and made the right comments, 149 young ladies will be disappointed.
This is right-thinking; this is integral to partnership, interconnection, and co-creating our selves, our lives, and our world. It takes many fibers of different hues and hefts to weave the tapestry of the cosmos in which we exist. If you could create every second of your life by your will, your expectations–without ever being tested–what would your life be, but a script to be read and played out?
Yes, I believe that we often get what we ask for and in retrospect, understand the consequences of letting wishes fly free without governors. If you’d like to see a very funny example of using will and making wishes, watch the 2000 film by Twentieth Century Fox, BEDAZZLED, starring Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley. Our poor, poor protagonist, Elliot, has to be trained by fire to carefully consider how he phrases his wishes.
Will is very powerful. Remember to use it wisely, and with consideration for the world that you share with others, however you consider creation and its population, including the very alive Earth that feeds us. We will survive together, or not at all. Still haunted by dark-age mentality; it seems that Earth’s population has a long road yet to travel.
Do you need help uncovering the blockages that impede you? Do you need help with transitions? Whether that be moving through pain to relief, from confusion to clarity, from stagnation to action, or from being haunted to once again controlling your will and your space, the whole point of receiving help is to move from the place where you are–toward the place where you want to go. More alive. Empowered. Right-Willed. Determined and clear thinking.
