Until late spring of 2010, I am offering my services as facilitator/counselor for no charge to those groups who are interested in lively spiritual dialogue ranging across a variety of topics. I am currently helping create the framework for White Rock Hall, a hundred-year-old church, that is currently being renovated and expects to open its door in the summer of 2010, offering a variety of salons and programs.

To develop an accurate sense of community needs, I would like to work with focus groups of any kind—-from artist’s feedback groups to support groups to civic and spiritual organizations—-in order to most constructively formulate a schedule that best serves our future participants. All groups already formed, consisting of five persons or more, will be gratefully considered, and topics tailored to each group. Conditions worldwide are challenging. The time is right to bring new thought patterns, empowerment, clarity and comfort to those of us seeking higher answers and signs in the midst of chaos.

Whether you have specific concerns or merely want to infuse a stale agenda with new vibrancy, the innate desire to grow and develop community is stronger than ever before. Let’s all work together to revision a future that is cohesive and healthy.

_________________________

Should time and group-size allow, I will also provide complimentary services to those who have individual need for counseling or guidance. Compassionate communication is a great beginning point for understanding our perceived limitations, puzzling motivations, and undeveloped talents.

Moments of feeling alive in the light are shorter and less frequent that those moments we feel we are standing at a crossroad with ‘one foot in the darkness.’ Even a saint can’t be a saint every waking hour. A brilliant mind can’t solve every problem. And every concern does not necessarily have an answer–maybe the condition simply asks for acceptance. What we do want though, whenever possible, is clarity and understanding. Here’s a small sample of questions I am most frequently asked during a reading:

_________________________

How can I foster peace in my Self, my home, my family, and my community?

Where do my responsibilities began and end? Am I giving away my power? How do I stop it?

If I’m truly manifesting my own life. . .why do I hate myself? What am I doing wrong?

What do my dreams mean? Is darkness really dark? Is darkness the same as evil?

Why do I keep repeating the same mistakes? Is this another learning experience (sigh!) Am I self-sabotaging?

Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do bad things so often go unpunished?

How do I actively address my fears? How can I feel peace amidst chaos?

What does this habit mean? What is my personal mythology and how is it affecting me?

Why can’t I control my anger/fear/jealousy/doubt/etc.?

When will I find my soul mate? Does my current relationship support who I am? Why do I feel so lost and alone?

Have I lived before? Who was I? Why does that matter now? Could my memories be inherited?

How can I worry less and trust more?

How can I live more simply when the world is so complicated?

Why am I here? How can I find my purpose? What important things about my gifts and challenges do I need to know?

Why don’t my religious beliefs (work/partnership/lifestyle) fit me now?

How can I heal my relationships and learn to love myself? Will I ever achieve mastery?

How can I get in touch with my psychic self? What can my psychic self tell me?

How can I learn to trust my intuition and how can I distinguish it from my imagination?

Can I use divination?

_________________________

Though most readings contain very specific information–life events, names, dates, etc.–most questions center around the search for meaning, the desire for balance and understanding. Any or all of these topics when clarified through compassionate conversation, contain the power for the group or individual considering them, to release life-changing awarenesses that drive us forward and allow us to cut free those things that no longer serve us.

The spirit needs no training or reflection. The spirit is not confused or in need of being found. These ideas are emotional, intellectual, and wholly human. When we say we are searching for our spirituality, what we mean is that we are looking for ways to become more aware of, and alive in, our natural state of divinity. We, therefore, do not need to seek spiritual training as a necessity for spiritual growth. Life itself is spiritual training. All of our greatest masters have confirmed this.

Why, then, do we often feel so confused and dark? If pure light is integral to us, how can we feel separated from it? And what mechanism can free us from this sense of separation? Are we meant to struggle and suffer? Many belief systems say: Yes! Suffering and struggle allow the heart to grow compassionate. Masters, too, know suffering, but their acceptance of this concept has grown great enough to be at peace with the idea that all conditions are sacred, including in their blessings not only others who suffer, but those who cause the suffering, and those who helplessly witness it. So don’t berate yourself for false flaws. With the same integrity that you share love with an innocent child, love yourself. Love yourself unconditionally, even though you might not like yourself in the moment.
